CRFP
  Member Services

The Consortium provides a variety of services for its member institutions. One of the more visible is the representation and advancement of university interests before governmental and regulatory bodies. The Consortium works with both Federal and regional entities to promote economic and education policies of maximum benefit to the citizens of the Washington area. The compilation and providing of data about the role of universities in the community is a key role of the Consortium. In this section you will find a number of documents and testimony produced by the Consortium.

The Consortium also strives to leverage the collective economic power of its universities to obtain savings for its members on purchases of goods and services in areas such as utilities, software, and office supplies. Partnerships with other associations and business organizations have also led to joint projects such as business schools working with the Board of Trade to help small businesses in the area. Additionally, the Consortium coordinates working groups of administrators on campuses. One example is the Campus Public Safety Institute providing training for campus security officers organized by the participating security directors.
