Consortium member universities provide a myriad of programs and services via its partnerships with local schools and community groups. Emphasis is placed on professional development for school personnel, academic enrichment for low-income, minority and immigrant students, and promoting higher education.

Partnerships for Education: A Compendium of Programs Linking Local Schools, Colleges and Universities describe some of these cooperative projects between Consortium institutions and elementary and secondary schools in the Washington metropolitan area. The Compendium was last updated in 2003.
