PROGRAMS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

Consortium members provide a variety of programs for senior citizens that are free or are offered at a discount (rules vary, so check carefully). The following list provides examples of current opportunities (click on the bold text to link to the program):

American University--Osher Lifelong Learning Institute  

George Mason University--Audit Programs (Sitting in the course is free; if seniors want to take the course for credit they would need to provide information showing that they have a taxable income of no more than $23,850.00 to take it for free.)

The George Washington University--Audit Program (The program is available to GWU alumni of all ages and to local residents 60 years of age and older who live in the neighborhoods surrounding GWU's Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses, specifically zip codes 20037 and 20006.) 

Georgetown University--Senior Citizen Auditor Program (Offered to Seniors for $50 on an audit basis.)

University of Maryland College Park--Golden ID Program

University of the District of Columbia--Institute of Gerontology
